I can dig it!

I really like your music a lot (love piano!). You have a very percussive style which is awesome for a pianist. I have a couple of suggestions for a more realistic sound, though (and by all means, disregard the critique if it was not your intention to make it sound more realistic). Try using humanization on your music writing program. It's nice to be in perfect time but adding that imperfect human touch provokes more emotion than a computer ever can. Also, try messing around with the velocities a lot more. The subtle changes in pressure from note to note can literally pour out emotion and power into your music. Great work and keep it coming!

Really interesting.

Geez man, your phrasing and overall musicality is really interesting to me. It is very out of the ordinary. You have a lot of talent, so keep up what you have going on! Very enjoyable piece, my friend.

Wow!

The nemesis toys definitely have the upper hand! What a struggle! Excellent orchestrion as well, mate. Keep up the awesome work.

Oh, no! Time is running out!

The rushing feeling of the time crunch! Some important stuff is about to go down! Will we make it time?! We will if my sword has anything to say about it, Haazaa!

lol darn right!

Really cool Rendition

I enjoyed the piece a lot! I really love Bach's work. One suggestion I have is humanizing the velocities(making it so each hit isn't exactly the same velocity) on the drum tracks (especially the snare and cymbals). Awesome remix, though!

Lovely tune!

There is no replacing a live recording with real players. I really enjoyed the peace, Cheers!

Thanks for the comment. This piece was written by Eric Ewazen. He is a very talented composer. You should check out some of his other pieces.

Great Song!

The song itself is so enjoyable! The mixing hurts, though! The treble is raging in my ears, way too much in my face (ears). Try to turn the treble down a bit in the mix (Lower the high end). It could be over compression, but I think it may just need some high end EQ.

Cheers!

P.S.
Complete respect, love the tune :)

Or4nges responds:

Thanks man!

Are you sure your not boosting the frequencies through your speakers or something? I'm not getting any problems on my end.

then again, the cymbals are kind of up there. Maybe i'll cut em a bit :P.

Thanks again!

Mixing

The piece itself is raging pretty darn hard and I really enjoy it, but the mixing job (especially on the low end) sounds like mud. Try to cut the low frequencies out of any instrument that doesn't specifically need it, and the piece will shine much brighter! Really great work!
Cheers!

Great work.

This is a pretty epic piece, I must say. You have some good ideas and your musical pallet is fairly developed. One suggestion I may give when writing orchestral music is try using some tempo changes and dynamics. The piece is great as it is but adding some more powerful dynamics (You may have written some dynamic changes but it's difficult to tell over Sibelius Midi) and tempo changes can bring life to a piece. Over all a great work and keep them coming!

HotSax responds:

Thanks :). Yeah, there are a few dynamic changes in there, but, as you said, Sibelius made it hard to hear them. I'll keep it in mind.

Triumphant

Phenomenal work my friend! I can feel the struggle, intensity, and resolution. Very well thought and love the epic horns!

XayberOptix responds:

I'm honored to I have earned your compliments!

Writing music for games is my trade. I love it and everything about games. Work with me once and you'll know what it's like to collaborate with a professional who loves what he does.
